The Commissioner of Police in Edo State, Patrick Daaor, has paid a courtesy and familiarisation visit to a former military administrator of Oyo and Taraba states, Prince Amen Oyakhire.
Oyakhire is also a retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police.
A statement issued by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Eno Ikoedem, said Daaor visited Oyakhire and his wife, Comfort, on Monday.
During the visit, the police commissioner received advice and insights from the former military administrator on effective leadership, sound administration and strategic policing.

Daaor thanked Oyakhire for the warm reception and for sharing his experience and counsel.
He noted that guidance from experienced professionals and retired senior officers remained invaluable to effective policing, institutional capacity building and improved public safety.
According to the statement, the visit reflects the commissioner’s commitment to building cordial relationships and sustaining strategic engagement with stakeholders and retired senior officers.
It added that such engagements would contribute to the command’s efforts to make Edo State safer and more secure.
