The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mrs. Zubaida Umar, today received the Executive Secretary of the Women Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (WCCIMA), Mrs. Samirah Saleh-Jimeta, during a courtesy visit to the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja.
The visit was aimed at exploring areas of collaboration between WCCIMA and NEMA, particularly in supporting women entrepreneurs through patronage of their products and services, as well as training women on basic disaster management and preparedness.
Speaking during the engagement, Mrs. Samirah Saleh-Jimeta expressed the desire of WCCIMA to partner with NEMA in initiatives that would empower women and strengthen community resilience through disaster awareness and capacity building.
The Director General of NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, appreciated the Executive Secretary for the visit and welcomed the proposed collaboration.
