The member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi, JP, has congratulated Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, and the people of the state on the 35th anniversary of Delta State.
Ereyitomi, in a goodwill message marking the anniversary, described the milestone as a moment for reflection, celebration and renewed commitment to the collective development of the state.
According to him, Delta State has recorded significant progress over the past 35 years despite the challenges encountered along the way, stressing that the achievements were made possible through the contributions of successive administrations, community leaders and ordinary Deltans.
The federal lawmaker commended Governor Oborevwori for what he described as his administration’s efforts toward improving infrastructure, empowering young people, strengthening governance and promoting inclusive development across the state.
He noted that the anniversary should also serve as a reminder to political leaders and citizens of the need to work together beyond political differences in the interest of Delta State.
Ereyitomi particularly urged youths across the state to take advantage of emerging opportunities, remain peaceful and contribute positively to the growth of their communities.
“As Delta State celebrates 35 years, we must celebrate not only our achievements but also the resilience, unity and determination of our people. The future of our state depends on our collective commitment to peace, development and good governance,” he said.
He expressed optimism that Delta State would continue to witness greater development and prosperity under the leadership of Governor Oborevwori, while wishing the governor and all Deltans a memorable 35th anniversary.
Ereyitomi also prayed for continued peace, stability, economic growth and improved wellbeing for residents across the three senatorial districts of the state.
