Chowdeck has partnered with GoLemon, a fast-growing online grocery startup, to make grocery shopping more flexible and reliable for households.
This partnership will enable Chowdeck users to order a curated selection of GoLemon grocery essentials directly on the Chowdeck app for instant delivery.
Rather than competing for the same use cases, both companies have stated that the partnership is designed around how Nigerians already shop by balancing organised weekly grocery runs with last-minute top-ups.
Beyond listing GoLemon products on the Chowdeck app, the partnership runs deeper operationally as GoLemon will also supply a portion of Chowdeck’s grocery dark-store inventory, which will help improve availability, freshness, and consistency for instant-delivery orders.
“This partnership reflects how people actually live. Chowdeck was built for those moments when you need something immediately. By working with GoLemon, we can now offer trusted grocery essentials instantly while GoLemon continues to focus on the full-shop experience their customers rely on,” said Femi Aluko, CEO and co-founder of Chowdeck.
GoLemon will continue to operate its own platform independently, focusing on next-day delivery for planned, big-basket grocery shopping with its full catalogue of over 7,000 items.
Yinka Adewuyi, CEO and co-founder of GoLemon, described the collaboration as a step toward reshaping how Nigerians shop for food online.
“By bringing our strengths together, we now support the full spectrum of household shopping from big, organised baskets to urgent top-ups in a way that feels seamless for customers, while each brand continues to deepen what it does best,” he stated.
The firm told BusinessDay that the deal challenges the idea that success in Nigeria’s tech ecosystem requires owning the entire value chain. Instead, it highlights collaboration as a competitive advantage.
By integrating existing strengths rather than duplicating infrastructure, both firms aim to reduce friction, improve reliability, and deliver better customer experiences at scale.
Customers can now select GoLemon grocery essentials directly on the Chowdeck app for instant delivery. These items include everyday staples such as eggs, peppers, chicken, cooking oil, and other household necessities.
The collaboration brings together two complementary strengths, which are Chowdeck’s well-established instant delivery network and GoLemon’s grocery-first supply chain, sourcing, and quality control infrastructure.
