Veteran Nigerian entertainer, Charly Boy, whose real name is Charles Oputa, has taken to social media to celebrate his daughter Adaeze and her lesbian partner hours after they got engaged.
In a statement on his Instagram page, Charly Boy shared a video of the duo and urged the public to wish them well. He wrote: “My beautiful princess and her husband, Folks wish dem well for me”

The video has sparked mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media.
One user wrote: “Nigeria time na wetin I wake-up come see be this one.”
Another added: “A lot Dey go on with this guy family.”
“Hmmm it’s better than to pretend and make another person’s son unhappy….if people start doing like this I guess it will save people from marrying wrong,” another user commented

Recall, Charly Boy had, a couple of months ago, addressed allegations of being gay.
In a statement on his Instagram page, Charly Boy mentioned that he is unapologetic about the perception of his sexuality due to his choice of lifestyle.
He went further to mention that he has fully embraced his feminine side; therefore, it is impossible to shame him.
Taking to his Instagram page, Charly Boy wrote, ’For years, many hv questioned my sexuality; some hv openly called me gay.
“Anything una like make una talk, because I know for many Nigerians, dey are still living under the rock.
“Embracing one’s feminine side isn’t about becoming less of a man—it’s about becoming more of a human being
“. It’s about having access to the full spectrum of human experience: strength and vulnerability, logic and intuition, independence and connection. If u know u know. I no send ur father.”
