The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas has claimed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is the dominant party in Kaduna State.
Abbas who represents Zaria Federal Constituency at the House of Representives said the ruling party has a 100 per cent acceptance among the people of the state.
The speaker made this assertion during his visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday, April 1.
Abbas visited the president in the company of a former Kaduna lawmaker, Shehu Sani and other political delegation from the state.
Speaking to journalists after they meet with the presidenthey met Tinubu will win the 2027 presidential election in Kaduna with a landslide.
He said, “As you can see, this is Kaduna in summary: comrade Shehu Sani represents the central zone of Kaduna, which we call zone two, and distinguished senator Sunday Marshall is from zone three, which is the southern zone of Kaduna, and I represent the northern zone.
“We are here to pay a courtesy visit to Mr President, our father, to brief him about the progress of APC in Kaduna, and to tell him that APC has been accepted 100% in all the nooks and crannies of Kaduna, and to assure him that 2027 is guaranteed — a landslide from zone one to three,” Abbas said.
He assured supporters of the ruling party that the acceptability of APC in Kaduna was not just limited to zone one and zone two but to all zones across the state.
In addition, the lawmaker said the party leadership in Kaduna has reached out to key leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in zone 3 to join the APC.
“Because of the governor’s ingenuity, he has been able to reach out to zone three, which used to be predominantly the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to join us in the APC. Today, APC is the dominant party in all three zones,” Abbas said.
