Following the successful upload of its candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Candidate Nomination Portal (ICNP), the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to the milestone.
APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, announcing the development on Sunday, described it as a demonstration of the party’s organisational strength and readiness ahead of the polls.
The submission includes the upload of the presidential ticket of President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Others, including the 109 senatorial candidates and the 360 candidates for the House of Representatives, were also uploaded.
In a statement, Professor Yilwatda expressed satisfaction with the seamless process, which concluded shortly after the portal’s closure.
“I congratulate our candidates, leaders, and members of APC on the successful 100% upload of our Presidential, Vice Presidential, Senate, and House of Representatives candidates on the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal (ICNP).
“With this milestone achieved, our focus now shifts to mobilisation and preparations for a successful campaign and decisive victory at the polls,” Yilwatda wrote.
This fresh development follows weeks of internal party activities, including primaries that resolved various petitions and candidate selections.
