The Nigerian Air Force has moved to strengthen operations in the North East as the Air Officer Commanding Tactical Air Command, Air Vice Marshal Michael Ekwueme, pledged enhanced air support for Operation Hadin Kai.
Ekwueme made the pledge during his operational visit to the theatre headquarters in Maiduguri.
In a statement signed by Lt. Col. Sani Uba, Media Information Officer of Operation Hadin Kai, the AOC commended troops for their bravery and commitment.
“I assure you of maximum support and the deployment of more air platforms to strengthen your operations,” he said.
The Theatre Commander, Maj.-Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar, described air support as a key factor in the success of ongoing operations.
He said improved coordination and sustained training had boosted joint operational effectiveness.
The visit featured operational briefings, exchange of souvenirs, signing of the visitors’ book and inspection of air component facilities.
