Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has responded to reports alleging that she sponsored her wedding to her younger husband, Bobby Ugwoegbu.
The actress, speaking in an interview with Deacon Famous, questioned how anyone could make such a bizarre statement, adding that she was only a few years older than her husband.
The actress’ comments come after a fan alleged that the actress sponsored her own wedding, which is why she said women are more providers in this generation.
“Of course, you won’t blame a woman who sponsored her own marriage with a younger man for saying women are more providers in this generation. She is speaking from her personal experience, but she shouldn’t generalise it, biko”.
Responding to him, Ogbodo stated that she didn’t sponsor their wedding. She admonished the fan to give her ex his flowers as he did his thing.
“Uncle, I never sponsored my marriage! Last thing I would ever do till I kpai! Respect my ex-husband; he did his thing”.
