Some widows residing in the Ajegunle area of Lagos state have showered encomiums on Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo who recently bought them a house.

Ighalo is said to have grown up in ‘AJ City’ as Ajegunle is famously called and he has returned ‘home’ to assist the widows.

The Al-Shabab of Saudi Arabia striker shared a clip showing how he was welcomed by a good number of widows in the area as they danced.

In addition to the house gift to the women, the footballer also gave them money to take care of their families.

Addressing the widows, Ighalo said: “From where this money came, God will double it. I bought this house for the widows two years ago. This is my first time of coming here; only my mother has been here. “Then, God put it in my heart to do it. Now I have seen how this place looks like.”

One of the widows grabbed the microphone and prayed for the 32-year-old former Manchester United striker.

“If God has blessed you, how many people did you bless? The year is coming to an end, it will not swallow you because you have practiced pure religion, you have taken care of the widows.”

The former Manchester United striker shared a clip with the caption: “I had a wonderful time with my widows in Ajegunle, thank you Mama’s for all the prayers. I can see all the blessings.”
