Nigerian Hip Hop artiste, Tobechukwu Ejiofor better known as Illbliss has remembered late iconic rapper, Oladapo Olaonipekun popularly known as Dagrin.

Illbliss took to his Twitter (X) to eulogise the artiste on Wednesday April 24, 2024 few days after the 14th anniversary of his death.

‘Your legacy will never end’ - Illbliss remembers Dagrin

Dagrin, at the peak of his career after a successful year, died in a fatal car accident on 22nd of April 2010 when he was 25 years old.

Remembering the late rapper, Illbliss shared a picture of the ‘Pon Pon Pon’ crooner said his “legacy will never end”.

He wrote: “Keep Resting Bro! Your legacy will never end. We remember you. We respect your colossal immeasurable contributions to Nigerian Hiphop. You inspired so many. Keep resting.”

CorrectNG recalls that last year, Trod, the brother of Dagrin revealed that he does not receive any royalties for any of his late brother’s songs.

The up-and-coming singer stated this on Twitter in a bid to refute claims of “siphoning” royalties of his Dagrin’s music.

There had been accusations in some quarters that Trod was getting paid and enjoying the money secretly while his family was suffering. The allegation became more intense after recent video of their mother crying out to Nigerians for help went viral.

In reaction, Trod said he knew nothing about the royalties and he challenged whoever has been receiving it since 2010 to make themselves known.

He tweeted; “I dunno shiit about Grins Royalties ..The person who has been getting paid for 13 years should come out. DMCE whatever?!”
