Carter Efe paid me N500k instead of N30m as my 30% from Oyimo – Young Duu

Controversial singer, Oluwabamishe Lukman Abioro also known as Young Duu, has given more details regarding his claim that content creator, Carter Efe ripped him off the proceeds from their song.

He said Carter Efe told him that he was supposed to get 30% royalties from their joint track, Oyinmo, which is N30 million, but he received N500,000.

Over the past few months, Young Duu has made several allegations against the online comedian, but Efe claimed that he had to stop promoting Young Duu’s song because of his character.

In a fresh video circulating online, the singer said the skit-maker never kept to his words of giving him the 30% as his share from money made from Oyinmo.

He said that Carter Efe argued that he owns the song and gave the amount he felt Duu deserved. The singer then urged the comedian to go to church and pray for forgiveness because he is now enjoying the proceeds of what he did not sweat for.

In was reported earlier that Nigerian skit-maker and artiste, Carter Efe leveled allegations against Young Duu as the reason he stopped promoting the rising singer’s song.

The popular content creator stated that they fell out and he decided to dump Young Duu owing to his character and some outrageous demands.

Recall that weeks ago Carter Efe and Young Duu, formerly signed to Portable’s Zeh Nation, collaborated on a single titled Oyinmo, which became a hit and garnered impressive airplays.

However, the song ownership stirred controversy and caused a rift between them leading to the end of Young Duu’s working relationship with the skit-maker.

Clearing the air during a recent online live session with fans, Carter Efe said he stopped promoting the song because Duu wanted everything quickly.

According to him, the musician wanted to buy Mercedes Benz GLA, and also wanted N4million as royalties from the song monthly.

But Carter Efe pointed out in the video that the song hadn’t become that much of a hit, for hi to be making such demands. He also opined that a lot of people supporting Young Duu don’t know how the music industry works.
