The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a warning to President Bola Tinubu as he clocks one month in office.

Primate Ayodele said Tinubu would have a crisis with some governors, past governors, and Northerners over Boko Haram and banditry.

He said those mentioned above would believe he came for vengeance.

The clergyman, however, noted that security agencies could do better under Tinubu.

Primate Ayodele disclosed this during the release of his annual prophecy, “warnings to the nations” on Saturday in Lagos.

According to Ayodele: “Security agents can do better than the past government if they put CCTV everywhere and do what is needful.

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has issued a directive for the immediate payment of pension entitlements as planned in the template released earlier this year.

This was stated in a press release issued by the governor’s spokesman, Mallam Olawale Rasheed.

Adeleke said this when he received thought leaders who had come to pay him a Sallah homage. He stressed that he had heard from the pensioners on a number of occasions and reiterated his commitment to addressing their concerns in accordance with his campaign promises.

The Governor noted that the template issued earlier this year for clearing outstanding salaries and pensions is still in effect, and he has since directed the State Head of Service to expedite implementation by ensuring the payment of pension arrears in accordance with the approved template.

At least 25 people were killed and eight others injured in western India when a bus crashed and caught fire on an expressway early Saturday.

The bus was travelling to the city of Pune when it hit a pole and overturned after midnight, causing its diesel tank to catch fire, senior police officer Baburao Mahamuni told AFP.

There were about 30 to 35 people in the bus. Twenty-five people have died and eight others are injured,” he said.

The injured have been admitted to a hospital near the site of the crash in Maharashtra state, about 400 kilometres (250 miles) east of India’s financial capital Mumbai.

The driver and conductor of the bus were taken into custody for questioning, state rural development minister Girish Mahajan told reporters.

“The driver is saying the tyre of the bus burst, after which it hit a pole. But it seems he had dozed off. We will have to see what actually happened,” he said.

Mahajan added that the bodies had been charred beyond recognition and forensic teams were on their way to help in identification.

One of the survivors of the accident said he got out of the burning vehicle a window.
