Up-and-coming Trod, the late rapper Dagrin’s brother, came to Twitter to respond to allegations that he has been diverting profits from his brother’s work.

Dagrin was sadly killed in a car accident on April 22, 2010, more than 13 years ago.

Trod’s comment on social media came after accusations surfaced that he was secretly profiting from Dagrin’s song proceeds as their family struggled.

The allegations gathered widespread acceptance after a recent video in which Trod and Dagrin’s mother begged Nigerians for help.

In reaction to the rising speculation, Trod declared clearly on Twitter that he is unaware of any income linked with Dagrin’s song.

He openly challenged anyone who had been receiving royalties since 2010 to come forward and make themselves known.

He wrote;

“I dunno shiit about Grins Royalties… The person who has been getting paid for 13 years should come out. DMCE whatever?”

The claims that Trod benefited from his late brother’s royalties ignited debate and highlighted questions about the equitable division of earnings generated by Dagrin’s songs.

The late musician, noted for his contributions to the Nigerian hip-hop industry, left behind an important legacy of music that fans continue to appreciate.

It’s worth mentioning that Trod, a rising musician himself, has denied any financial participation in his brother’s work.

His claim that he is unaware of the royalties reflects the outrage expressed by fans and concerned citizens who believe the monies should be used to support Dagrin’s family.

As of now, no substantial evidence has been given to support Trod’s claims of collecting royalties.
