Manchester United secured their place in next season’s Champions League with a game of the Premier League campaign remaining thanks to Thursday’s thumping 4-1 win over Chelsea. Although Chelsea had plenty of chances in the opening 45 minutes, Casemiro and Anthony Martial scored at either end of the first half, before Bruno Fernandes scored from the penalty spot and Marcus Rashford notched his 30th goal of the season in all competitions. Chelsea substitute Joao Felix eventually found the net late on, but the game was already long gone.

Wesley Fofana

Was stretched with plenty of space in Chelsea’s backline early in the game but does not fail to put his body on the line in a bid to win the ball. Shocking attempt at tackling Bruno Fernandes to give away a penalty in the second half after being nutmegged and backed it up with a pass towards Trevoh Chalobah that was cut out and led to Marcus Rashford’s goal.

Mykhailo Mudryk

The £88.5million signing missed a simple side-foot finish early on and appeared drained of confidence. His display was full of mis-controls despite his obvious desire to work for the team. Improved a bit in the second half.

Noni Madueke

Involved in creating a big chance for Gallagher in the first half but drifted in and out of the match, without taking enough risks.
