The nation’ s President- Elect is set to be Sworn- In as the next President of Nigeria on the 29th of May 2023 despite the likes of Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar contesting the Feb. 25th Presidential Election results at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, PEPT.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, Bola Ahmed would wrote, ” I received former British Prime Minister and founder Tony Blair Institute for Good Governance, Mr Tony Blair, at the Defence House, Abuja, earlier today. We discussed areas of mutual interests and how Nigeria can continue to benefit from the amazing work of the Institute. “
However, the meeting has met with a lot of criticisms on social media, with many not being happy with it, especially the members of the oppositions parties who are looking for even a single reason to criticize the president-elect. Many said that the visit of the ex-British PM will not have any effect in Nigerian political landscape, as he is no longer in position to be much effective.
