The Money Spent Could Not Cover Her Nakedness Properly – Police PRO, Bright Edafe Chides Tacha

The Police Public Relation Officer, Delta State Police Command, Bright Edafe, has chided reality TV star Anita Natacha Akide a.k.a. Symply Tacha over the amount of money she claimed to have spent on the outfit she wore to the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) event. 

The 9th edition of the AMVCA that was held on Saturday, the 20th May, 2023, in Lagos, had a lot of Nigerian celebrities showing up in various elegant outfits. This is usually done to get the award for the ‘best dressed’ category.

Tacha, who was one of the celebrities in attendance, got a lot of people talking after she claimed to have spent a whooping sum of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), which is approximately N9.2 million on her dress.

This, however, has been sparking mixed reactions from Nigeria. A Twitter user identified as Eniola Daniel on Twitter rebuked Tacha for spending that much on a dress in the supposed ‘capital of poverty’ in the world.

“$20,000 (N14.5m) is too much to spend on a dress.

  In the capital of poverty in the world, where nearly two-thirds of Nigeria’s 200 million people live on less than $2 a day.

 Nonetheless, Tacha is amazing, she’s beautiful and breathtaking,” he tweeted.

The PPRO Delta State, Bright Edafe, retweeted the Twitter user’s tweet, saying that it is more annoying that after all the money Tacha spent on her dress, the dress still ended up being too revealing.

“The most annoying part is that the money spent could not even cover her nakedness properly,” he tweeted.
