Born in New York City, her spouse Renn is a musician turned actor and producer. He first started as a musician by joining the industrial rock band Deadsy as a third member after Elijah Blue Allman and Alec Puro. The band released several albums and singles which helped Hawkey to widen his musical career.

Later, he also appeared as an actor, he did a cameo role as a musician in the 2003 musical film The Singing Detective. He also played the supporting role of Paul Kortesky in the series The Returned. Vera Farmiga was born to Ukrainian parents Mykhailo Farmiga and Luba Spas Farmiga on August 6, 1973, in Clifton, New Jersey, US. The now 49 years old actress spent most of her early life in her hometown with a big family.

The Return to Paradise actress was the second child of her parents. She has six siblings in total among which three are her brothers and three are sisters. Her brothers are Victor Farmiga, Stephan Farmiga, and Alexander Farmiga. While her sisters are Nadia Farmiga, Laryssa Farmiga, and Taissa Farmiga.
