Young footballer who started on the streets travels abroad to fulfil his dreams

A young Nigerian identified as Saheed Faruk, has traveled to Abu Dhabi to possibly join a football club after years of showing his talent on the streets.

The boy who’s been aspiring to be a professional footballer finally got his wish granted when he was invited to UAE by a club interested in him.

Saheed took to TikTok and shared a video-reel of pictures which captured his growth and progress, in a bid to highlight how far he’s come.

The beginning part of the images showed him when he was playing amateur football on the streets of Nigeria with friends up until the moment he left the country to pursue his dreams in Abu Dhabi.

New images also captured Saheed looking fresher after he landed in UAE and settled into the Arabian nation.

In the video-reel, the footballer could also be seen in the facility of Al Jazira Club, an Emirati professional football club based in Abu Dhabi. It is, however, not clear if he traveled for trials or if his signing has been finalised.

CorrectNG reported earlier that Big Brother Naija season 7 contestant, Sheggz said he and Everton star, Dele Alli used to play football together as kids.

The UK-based footballer made the revelation on Saturday in the BBNaija house while having a chat with his love interest, Bella and other housemates.

Sheggz said Dele was not an impressive footballer while they were growing up but he got better and is now a star.

He bragged about being better than the former Tottenham Hostpur player and stated confidently that anyone doubting him can ask the midfielder whether he knows Sheggz.

A fan @Roukyoo commented; Sheggz don cast Dele Ali for big brother oh…!!! but I’m not surprised, what Sheggz said is actually true because currently Dele Ali is a mess, grace really followed him in becoming a professional.
