God did it – Portable gives thanks as his debut album hits 250k streams in 48 hours

Nigerian street-hop singer, Habeeb ”Portable” Okikiola has celebrated the number of plays his debut album, ‘Ika Of Africa’ got after its release.

The artiste revealed that the project which he dropped on Thursday, 24th of November, amassed 250,000 streams on Audiomack within 48 hours.

Portable gave thanks to God Almighty for blessing his hard work and said Ika of Africa is moving fast.

He first revealed that the album amassed 100,000 plays on the global streaming platform in the first 24 hours, before giving an update that it jumped to 250,000 in two days.

He wrote; ”Dis is incredible 100,000 Streams it’s been God all the way IKA of AFRiKA the Album moving fastaFosto? IKA OF AFRICA ? Now Trending ⭐️IKA OF AFRICA Now Trending Everywhere.”

CorrectNG reported days ago that Portable fired the employees working in his Zeh Nation studio for not making reasonable amount of money in his absence.

The Zazuu star took to his Instagram page to reveal that the workers made only N7,000 within the period he was on his European tour, which was a little over a month.

In a video Portable posted, he said he asked those working in his studio to leave because they refused to blow and were only after his money. He wondered if it was a crime for him to help by giving them job.

According to the singer, he makes as much as N15 million from his studio in 5 days, so it was very disappointing that his studio workers said they made only N7k while he was away.

He said: “I rebrand my studio, people i put in my studio refused to blow, I build studio, they didn’t deliver my money, them dey chop my money. Studio wey be say anytime I record, I make 2 million, 3million, in 5 days I fit make 15million, when I travelled and return they said they make 7000 naira.”

Portable captioned the video: ”Stop Dreaming about ur Boss Dream about Urself? Don’t know how helping someone turns to a Crime…imagine Someone sayin shitt about my Record Label out there Some1 have helped in so many ways.But On God…We Kip Moving…We ain’t stopping? ZEH Nation to de World”.
