Super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa has fulfilled his pledge to give the sum of N500,000 to former Olympian, Bassey ‘Iron Bar’ Etim.

This follows a viral video of the Gold medalist filling potholes around the Ado-Badore road in the Ajah axis of Lagos State as a community development service.

Musa came across the video and offered to support 56-year-old Bassey. In a new video circulating online, he thanked the former CSKA Moscow and ex-Leicester City star for giving him half a million naira.

“I’m just speechless and I’m very happy. This is a special day for me for receiving such a gift. God will bless him and his family. I’m grateful and very happy,” he said.

Bassey won a gold medal at the 1983 Commonwealth Games in Malta. He had revealed that he suffered an injury while representing Nigeria at the 1984 Olympic Games.
