According to him, the actor was rushed to the Korle-Bu Teaching when his condition got worse but unfortunately, they were told that they was no vacant bed available for him at the moment.

In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, Bob Smith Jnr. added that they then moved Prince Yawson to the Ridge Hospital and again, they were given the “no bed’ excuse.

They then took him to the 37 Military Hospital where they had a good reception and Waakye’s condition was sustained. He revealed that he left the hospital to gather some money for his bills and other expenses only to be called in the afternoon and informed about his death.

However, he did not believe the news and hoped to hear that the news was false, hence he moved to the hospital to confirm it himself and it was rather unfortunate that his friend has bit the dust.

Bob Smith Jnr. who couldn’t hold back his tears in the middle of the interview blamed the death of his friend on the fact that there were no available beds in the two major hospitals they visited.
