Celebs who joined #EndSARS have collected money from govt – Mr Macaroni accuses colleagues’ of being sellouts

Popular Nigerian comedian and activist, Debo Adedayo, better known by his stage name, Mr Macaroni has called out his colleagues for seeking monetary gains from a government they criticised.

The comic act revealed that some celebs who actively participated in the EndSARS campaign which sought an end to police brutality as well as bad governance, in 2020, have quietly gone to collect money from government.

In a series of tweets on Friday, Mr Macaroni also noted that it is not right for him to be risking his life fighting for a better Nigeria, whereas his colleagues are selling the people out for because of what they could benefit.

He further noted that he does not want to be described as a hero because he is simply doing what he feels is right.

The actor wrote; “Government no good, government this and that”…. But Government award and money sweet to collect.

When some content creators went with a show organizer to see the VP, I said on here and at various TV interviews that they did nothing wrong. They saw it as a chance to speak up and they did. Some of the people wey attack them pass don go collect Award from government.
