On Friday, January 14, 2022, Adesina accepted the honor from the organization at Aso Rock in Abuja.

Ben Kure, the group’s spokesman, said in a statement that Adesina has differentiated himself as a journalist, writer, media executive, and presidential spokesperson.
He claimed that the White House spokesman has “carved his name in gold” in the media and in the performance of his duties.

The actors who trooped to the Aso Rock were Mr Ibu, Gentle Jack, Saheed Balogun, Shina Peters and Onyekweli Harry B and Ahmed Bala.

He said; ”What you are doing for the country makes our work easier. When you hold town hall meetings in different parts of the country, advocating for unity, peace and change, it is easier for me to do the job and I am very glad to identify with this group, which is nationalistic and patriotic”.

Meanwhile, Muyiwa Olarewaju, a British-Nigerian gospel singer, has been granted the Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) award.

The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, honored the 52-year-old awardee with the Officer of the Order of the British Empire medal at an investiture ceremony conducted at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, January 12.

In the Queen’s Birthday Honour Roll of 2020, the BBC One talent show judge and radio personality was granted an OBE for his tremendous services to music.

The elated singer could not hold his joy as he took to Instagram to share the news with his fans. He wrote: “For Services to music. Thank you to everyone that has relentlessly invested in this ‘young man’. You made it possible. A lecturer of mine told me no one is paying attention to you doing gospel music. Years later, here we are.”
