“I Discovered Kofi Kinaata”-Dr. Pounds Reveals [Video]

Ghanaian media personality, Maximous Mensah, well known as Dr. Pounds has revealed that he discovered one of the best Highlife singers in present times, Martin King Arthur, well known as Kofi Kinaata.

According to Dr. Pounds, he used to organize rappers emerging from Cape Coast to Takoradi for rap battles, and at the time, Kofi Kinaata was already Kasahare with Kwame Amofa of Melody FM in Takoradi.

Dr. Pounds told Deloris Frimpong Manso in an interview on the Delay Show Kofi Kinaata defeated all the rappers he came with from Cape Coast and as a result of that, he automatically became friends with him and started mentoring him about rap music.

He stated that the “Fante rap god” was good at rap to the extent that he sometimes hides him when other rappers come for battles because most of them were afraid of him.

The renowned radio show host further disclosed that he used to go from studio to studio with a Pendrive containing Kofi Kinaata’s songs, recommending him to producers and radio presenters to listen and promote him until Kofi signed his five-year contract with High-Grade Family owned by Samini.

Dr. Pounds also added that he is not surprised Kofi Kinaata is doing a lot for himself even after disassociating himself from High-Grade Family because he saw it in him that he is destined for greatness.
