Isabel Idibia, daughter of Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, and his former wife, Annie Idibia, has opened up about the impact of her parents’ separation on her.
2Baba announced his separation from Annie in February 2025 before subsequently marrying Natasha Osawaru, an Edo State lawmaker.
Speaking during an interview with Yanga FM on Friday, Isabel acknowledged that the breakdown of her parents’ marriage affected her but said she was gradually adjusting to the situation.
When asked whether the separation had affected her, the teenager responded in Pidgin English: “I mean obviously yes, but things are getting better day by day.”

Her comments offer a rare glimpse into how the highly publicised separation has affected the couple’s children, as the family continues to navigate life after the end of the marriage.
AY speaks on 2Baba’s marriage
Meanwhile, Nigerian comedian and filmmaker Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has spoken about 2Baba’s marriage to Natasha Osawaru.
AY addressed the issue while speaking at Daddy Showkey’s 50th anniversary concert in Lagos.
The comedian said 2Baba was his neighbour before the singer’s relationship with Natasha and joked about how the relationship had changed the singer’s living arrangements.
According to AY, Natasha relocated 2Baba to Edo State and Abuja.
He also made playful remarks about the singer’s reported marital difficulties with Natasha, joking about the possibility of 2Baba returning to singlehood if the marriage eventually ends.
The remarks come amid continued public interest in 2Baba’s personal life following his separation from Annie and subsequent marriage to Natasha.
