2027: Tinubu is APC’s biggest asset – Yilwatda

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s most valuable asset, expressing confidence in his prospects for a second term in 2027. Yilwatda made the remarks during the APC Northwest Youth Mobilisation Meet-and-Greet programme in Abuja, hosted by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Goronyo.

Yilwatda highlighted factors he believes will strengthen Tinubu’s reelection bid, including increasing youth participation, tangible policy outcomes, the APC’s expanding national presence, and the use of data-driven mobilisation strategies. He noted that the party’s growing grassroots influence has positioned it as “the largest political party in Africa,” with continued support from governors, National Assembly members, market women, farmers, and students.

The APC chairman stressed the importance of party unity and loyalty, urging members to support both the party and the president. “This party is your biggest asset. The President is our biggest asset. Let us stand by this party,” Yilwatda said, emphasizing cohesion as a key element in the party’s success.

Yilwatda’s remarks come amid ongoing preparations by the APC to consolidate its base and mobilize support ahead of the 2027 general elections, focusing on youth engagement and strengthened nationwide outreach.
