The Minister of State for Defence, H.E. Dr. Bello Matawalle MON, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will emerge victorious in the 2027 Presidential election.
Matawalle urged Nigerians and political stakeholders to give the President the needed political space to deepen ongoing reforms aimed at economic stabilisation, institutional strengthening, and national cohesion.
The Minister, who spoke at his Abuja residence on Saturday, condemned political manoeuvres aimed at undermining the Tinubu administration, describing them as self-serving and detrimental to Nigeria’s democratic stability.
He said premature power struggles and factionalism distract leaders from governance and weaken public confidence in democratic institutions.
“President Tinubu has taken bold steps to stabilise the economy and strengthen national institutions,” Dr. Matawalle said. “Those who are plotting to unseat him are motivated by personal interests, not the public good. If given the chance to complete his reform programme, I am confident the President will win convincingly in 2027.”
Matawalle also pointed to recent progress in the North and other regions, attributing the developments to the President’s leadership and policies.
He called on political actors to prioritise constructive engagement over destabilising tactics and urged Nigerians to support policies that promote sustainable growth, improved security, and unity.
“Let us focus on solutions that deliver for Nigerians jobs, security, and stronger institutions rather than on rancour and short-term political gains,” he added.
