2027: Rex-Ogbuku Unveils Ogbia APC Campaign Team, Mobilises Support for Tinubu, APC Candidates

Ogbia Federal Constituency Candidate Pledges Grassroots Campaign for Tinubu’s Re-Election and APC Victory in Bayelsa

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ogbia Federal Constituency, Chief Jude Amiditor Rex-Ogbuku, has inaugurated his campaign leadership team ahead of the 2027 general elections, pledging to mobilise the people of Ogbia Kingdom for the victory of the APC and its candidates.

Rex-Ogbuku said his campaign would be anchored on unity, inclusion, grassroots participation and meaningful progress, while promoting what he described as the “Ogbia of the founders’ dream” for the benefit of the present generation and those yet to come.

He said the campaign organisation would mobilise the energy, hopes and aspirations of Ogbia people around issues that matter to them, while seeking their support for his election to the House of Representatives.

The campaign will also, according to him, work towards strengthening support for the APC at all levels, including the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party’s candidates contesting the 2027 elections.

The APC has already produced its National Assembly candidates in Bayelsa State, with Rex-Ogbuku emerging as the party’s candidate for Ogbia Federal Constituency. Other House of Representatives candidates include Jonathan Robinson Obuebite for Nembe/Brass, Rodney Ambaiowei for Southern Ijaw, Oforji Oboku for Yenagoa/Kolokuma/Opokuma, and Bernard Sunday Kenebai for Sagbama/Ekeremor.

For the Senate, the APC candidates include High Chief Fidelis Agbiki for Bayelsa West, Israel Sunny-Goli for Bayelsa East and Senator Friday Konbowei Benson for Bayelsa Central.

Rex-Ogbuku said the campaign would therefore operate as part of a larger APC mobilisation effort aimed at securing victory for the party across Bayelsa State and supporting President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

The campaign leadership team is headed by Honourable Macaulay A. Jokori as Director-General.

Dr Peter Odo will oversee Operations and Security, while Chief Williams Ibu Mizodome will lead Media and Publicity.

Other members include Honourable Apigi Jackson, Youth Mobilisation; Honourable Johnbull Azibataman, Esq., Communications, Monitoring and Compliance; and Honourable Ifiaminola Beredugo, Women Mobilisation.

Also appointed are Chief Livingstone Fortune, Community Relations; Chief Tonami Austin Oruah, Transportation; Honourable Eric Isekpar Pepple, Programmes and Protocol; and Honourable Yibalua Thompson, NGOs and Support Groups.

Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated campaign organisation, the Director-General, Honourable Macaulay Jokori, expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in the team and accepted the responsibility with humility.

Jokori said Ogbia had long awaited a representative who would effectively take the collective aspirations of the people for wider opportunities, empowerment and development to the National Assembly.

He expressed confidence that Ogbia would fare better with Rex-Ogbuku as its representative, citing what he described as the candidate’s record of service and leadership.

He called on APC supporters and stakeholders across the kingdom to work together and ensure that the party emerges victorious at the polls.

Rex-Ogbuku further disclosed that his campaign structure would continue to expand through consultation with stakeholders across Ogbia, from the local government and constituency levels to wards, communities and polling units.

He said no section of Ogbia Kingdom would be excluded from the campaign, stressing that the participation of women, youths, traditional stakeholders, community leaders and other groups would be critical to achieving the campaign’s objectives.

The APC candidate urged the people of Ogbia to unite behind the party’s candidates and its broader 2027 agenda, while calling for issue-based campaigns devoid of violence and division.

He said his ambition was not merely about occupying a National Assembly seat but about building effective representation capable of attracting opportunities, development and empowerment to Ogbia.

Rex-Ogbuku therefore called on the people of Ogbia Kingdom to support the APC at the presidential, senatorial and House of Representatives levels, saying a strong APC vote would provide the platform for greater collaboration between the constituency, Bayelsa State and the Federal Government.

The campaign leadership assured supporters that it would take the APC message to every ward, community and polling unit in Ogbia as the 2027 election approaches.

The inauguration marks the formal commencement of the campaign’s grassroots mobilisation as the APC intensifies efforts to consolidate its structure and present a united front ahead of the 2027 general elections.
