2026 JAR‎: Bayelsa Health Ministry Holds Joint Annual Review, Assures More Commitments On Healthcare Dev’t


‎The Bayelsa State Ministry of Health joined by the States’ Primary Healthcare Board joined and other key development partners held Health Sector 2026 Joint Annual Review on August 18–19, 2026, to assess sector performance and advance strategic healthcare priorities across the state.

‎The Health Sector Joint Annual Review provides an important platform for the Health Commissioner, Directors, partners and other key stakeholders to assess the progress, challenges and achievements of the health sector over the year.

‎The JAR meeting also provided opportunity for everyone to evaluate ongoing programmes, review health indicators, share experiences and develop practical strategies for improving healthcare delivery.

‎The Health Ministry under the leadership of the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Prof. Seiyefa Brisibe, and in collaboration with UNICEF, WHO, MSI Reproductive Choices, SOLINA, SWaP, and NHS RIIJ, health leaders and stakeholders convened at the Bayelsa Health Insurance House Conference Hall in Yenagoa to evaluate progress, address operational gaps, and optimize service delivery.

‎The Health Commissioner and Directors reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration, improving productivity, enhancing healthcare infrastructure and ensuring quality, accessible and affordable healthcare services for the people.

‎The meeting further showcased the importance of teamwork, and continuous monitoring to achieve sustainable improvements and advance the government’s commitment to better health outcomes as they continue to join hands to #BuildBayelsaWithDiri.
