Senate: 70 Percent Of PDP Senators-elect Are Working For The Emergency Of Godswill Akpabio – Umahi

Dave Umahi, a former governor of Ebonyi State, asserted that more than 70% of the senators-elect running on the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, platform are attempting to have Godswill Akpabio become the Senate President immediately.

When answering questions on Arise Television’s show on Friday, Umahi—who is also a senator-elect for the Ebonyi Central Senatorial District—disclosed this.

According to the former governor, President Bola Tinubu received assurances from the G-5 Governors that their senatorial candidates would be committed to working with the All Progressives Congress (APC) at their meeting with President Tinubu on Thursday.

“I don’t think that Yari has the constitutional requirements to stand for that election,” he stated, quoting the Senate’s regulations. 

We are not bothered about that. We are bothered about the fact that we went through a very tough election because of the reason of Muslim-Muslim ticket.
