Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State on Tuesday expressed profound shock at the passing of Alhaji Ado Aminu, founder of Lamco Pharmacy, who died on Monday, in a Cairo Hospital, Egypt, at the age of 70.
This is contained in a statement issued by his spokesperson Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, in Kano on Tuesday.
Yusuf described the deceased as a symbol of excellence and a true son of Kano who devoted his life to empowering others.
He said Aminu’s legacy would continue to inspire the pharmaceutical industry.
, Dawakin-Tofa said, “On behalf of the government and people of Kano State, the governor extended heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and the business community.
“He also prayed that Allah grant the departed Al‑Jannah Firdaus and give the family the strength to bear the loss.”
Family sources confirmed that Aminu’s remains would arrive in Nigeria from Egypt on Thursday for burial according to Islamic rites.( NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
