A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Obidike Chukwuebuka, has warned that it would be “unpatriotic and spiritually dangerous” for Nigerian youths to work against President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
Speaking on Tuesday, Chukwuebuka said the president has rekindled hope among young Nigerians through appointments, reforms, and policies that focus on empowerment, job creation, and national development.
“President Tinubu has shown more concern and action for Nigerian youths than any other leader in recent history. He gave young people real hope, not just in words but through concrete policies and appointments. God will not forgive any youth who, out of ignorance or mischief, decides to sabotage this vision,” he said.
Chukwuebuka pointed to the appointments of Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim (Minister of Youth Development), Ayodele Olawande (Minister of State for Youth Development), Khalil Halilu (NASENI Executive Vice Chairman), Zacch Adedeji (FIRS Chairman), and Delu Bulus Yakubu (NSIPA National Coordinator) as evidence of Tinubu’s commitment to youth inclusion in governance.
He also cited initiatives such as the Student Loan Act and the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme, which seeks to train three million young Nigerians in digital and tech skills by 2027.
The APC chieftain urged youths to remain patriotic and avoid partisan manipulation, stressing that Tinubu’s leadership treats young people as active partners in governance rather than political tools.
