Dr. Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, has issued a stern warning to believers about the spiritual consequences of listening to the wrong voices and ignoring the right ones.
Speaking in a recent sermon streamed on YouTube, he emphasized that the voices we heed can determine the trajectory of our lives.
“We are created to hear voices. God has a voice. He speaks. We humans also speak and hear voices,” Dr. Olukoya stated. He explained that voices – whether from God, people, or circumstances – exist to guide, advise, and redirect us, but they can also lead us astray if not properly discerned.
Highlighting the spiritual peril of following misleading voices, the minister warned, “Many of us hear the wrong voices. And sometimes, when we hear the right one, we do not obey it. What a tragedy.”
He noted that voices can manifest in many forms: loud or quiet, in dreams, books, music, lectures, plays, or even within the heart. Some voices encourage progress, while others can lead to stagnation or misdirection.
Dr. Olukoya cited the example of the prophet Isaiah, who heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Here I am. Send me anywhere.” Isaiah’s obedience changed his destiny forever, illustrating the transformative power of responding to the right voice.
The minister urged Christians to cultivate discernment and silence voices that distract, mislead, or hinder their spiritual and personal growth. “The voice you listen to will determine your destiny,” he said. Failure to reject wrong influences, he warned, could prevent breakthroughs and delay life-changing transformations.
Through his sermon, Dr. Olukoya called on believers to be vigilant, noting that responsiveness to God’s guidance is not optional but essential. He stressed that the inability to silence wrong voices and act on the right ones could result in missed opportunities, spiritual stagnation, and regret.
He added that obedience to God’s voice and discernment over worldly influences is critical for change, growth, and fulfilling one’s divine purpose.See_More…
