Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has spoken strongly about the current state of insecurity in the nation, expressing concern over ongoing killings.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the clergyman criticised both the government and Nigerians, stating that he had earlier warned about the outcome of their choices before the elections.
In his words:
“I told Nigerians, and I said, watch, you are voting a killer system into power. I saw bloodthirsty men coming to cause massacre in the country. Telling the blind the way to go is a problem. The government is irresponsible, insensitive and callous.”
He stressed that leadership failure and poor decision-making have continued to put innocent lives at risk, warning that the consequences are now evident across the country.
His comments come amid growing insecurity and repeated attacks in different parts of the country, with citizens increasingly expressing fear and frustration.
Reactions have since trailed his remarks.
One user wrote “True… He warned people, but nobody listened.” Another commented, “This is not the time for blame, we need solutions.”
