BBNaija star and ex-winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, widely known as Phyna, has finally addressed critics dragging her for clubbing weeks after her sister’s burial, reminding everyone that grief has no manual.

The reality TV star, who lost her sister, Ruth Otabor in August and buried her in September, recently found herself trending online after she was spotted at a clubhouse party with Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels.

The video sparked massive backlash on social media, with many accusing Phyna of “moving on too quickly” and being insensitive so soon after her sister’s death.

While Regina Daniels defended her at the time, saying people should stop judging others for how they choose to heal, Phyna remained silent, not until now.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Phyna penned a heartfelt message reminding people that grief has no fixed timeline or appearance.

She wrote:

“Grief has no manual, no fixed face, and no timetable. The fact that I choose to keep living, smiling, or sharing moments does not erase the pain I carry. Respect the process, even if you do not understand it. If you cannot extend compassion, then at least extend silence.”

While many fans rallied around Phyna, praising her strength and honesty, some still criticized her for clubbing just weeks after her sister’s burial, insisting it was “too soon.”

Recently, she was seen out again celebrating Regina’s birthday, sharing smiling photos and enjoying the moment without holding back. Despite the mixed reactions, Phyna appears focused on healing in her own way.
