The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Yobe State Council, has congratulated Gov. Mai Mala Buni of the state on his 58th birthday.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Council’s Chairman, Alhaji Rajab Mohammed, and the Secretary, Alhaji Alhassan Mamudo, in Damaturu on Wednesday.
The council commended Buni’s sterling leadership qualities, vision and dedication in moving the state forward.
“We wish to commend Gov. Buni for the remarkable developmental strides that have transformed the state, particularly in infrastructure, completion of key roads and bridges linking rural communities.
“In education, we commend him for the construction of new schools and provision of scholarships.
“In health, for the expansion of medical facilities and free maternal health programmes. And in the area of agriculture for supporting farmers through subsidised inputs and market access
“These achievements reflect his commitment to improving the welfare and prosperity of Yobe’s citizens,” they said.
The council prayed God to grant the governor more wisdom, health and success to effectively manage the affairs of people of the state.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
