Yilwatda Confident APC Will Reclaim Osun in August 15 Governorship Election

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed confidence that the party will win the August 15, 2026, Osun State governorship election, declaring that nothing will stop the APC from reclaiming the Government House.

Speaking during the inauguration of the party’s National Campaign Council for the election, Yilwatda described the APC as Nigeria’s strongest political force, saying it possesses the structure, manpower, and grassroots support needed to secure victory.

> “Nothing will stop us from taking over the Government House this August,” Yilwatda declared.

The APC chairman disclosed that the party would deploy its governors, members of the National Assembly, local government chairmen, and other key stakeholders to strengthen campaign activities and mobilize voters across Osun State.

He urged party members to work collectively to ensure the victory of the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO.

Yilwatda also noted that the Osun governorship election is significant not only for the party’s bid to regain control of the state but also as a crucial step in consolidating the APC’s strength ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He reaffirmed that the party would intensify grassroots mobilization, engage directly with voters across communities, and rely on its extensive political structure to secure victory on election day.
