Gov. Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, on Tuesday flagged off the e-registration and revalidation of membership for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Yahaya, whose membership was revalidated in Gombe, said the exercise was designed to strengthen the party and ensure accurate membership records.
He stated that the innovative approach to registration would boost membership and fortify the party ahead of the elections in 2027.
Yahaya urged members to remain united and loyal to the party, adding that unity would enable the party defeat any opposition in the state.
“I call for more loyalty, unity as one family that we are and supports from members across the state so as to move the party forward and maintain our political strength and dominance.
“So I am asking everybody to go back to his or her ward and do the needful.
“Our party is ready to deliver at anytime, since we are united.
“It is forward ever and backward never; we are in dominant control in Gombe State,” he said.
The governor noted that the necessary structures had been put in place from the ward to the state level, to ensure seamless registration in Gombe State.
He urged members to participate fully in the ongoing national electronic registration exercise, saying that their involvement would prove their commitment to the growth of the party in the state.
He commended President Bola Tinubu and the leadership of the APC, for initiating the e-registration which he said was an innovation that would make a clear documentation of the party membership.
On his part, the state’s APC chairman, Mr Nitte Amangal, urged participation by all members adding that the APC would welcome those who were willing to join the party.
Amangal tasked party stakeholders to put in their best towards ensuring success of the exercise across the state.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
