A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to share her frustration after returning to her plot of land in Delta State, only to find that another person had started construction on it.
The woman, identified as @gbemretonia on TikTok, shared a video showing a foundation and borehole already dug on the property she claimed to have purchased and developed years ago.
She Recalled Developing the Land Herself
In the viral video, the woman recounted how she once carried out drainage work on the plot shortly after buying it.
She said the new structure and borehole she met on the land came as a rude shock, describing it as an act of repossession.
She lamented that despite her previous investment in the property, someone had now taken possession of it without her consent.
Construction Still Ongoing
The woman revealed that the incident took place at Immigration Estate, where she discovered the ongoing construction.
Despite her anger, she sarcastically thanked the unknown builder for “providing her with a new foundation and borehole.”
Her video showed visible signs of active work on the land, confirming that the new occupant was still building when she arrived.
Mixed Reactions from Netizens
The video quickly went viral, sparking mixed reactions from social media users.
While some people sympathized with her and urged her to seek legal help, others claimed the new builder might have been scammed by land agents and might not even know the property was already sold.
