The Lagos State Government has shared reason for the arrest of controversial Nollywood actress, Sarah Martins.
It would be recalled that the actress was arrested by Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC/KAI) officials on October 16, 2025, while cooking and distributing free meals to the less privileged on a public road median at Admiralty, Lekki Phase 1.
However, Martins alleged she was harassed, and hot oil was poured on her hand during the altercation.
Lagos State Government Breaks Silence On Sarah Martins Arrest
According to a statement released by Tokunbo Wahab, Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, via his microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), Sarah Martins’ actions violated environmental and sanitation regulations.
This poses risks to public safety, infrastructure, and traffic flow.
Furthermore, the statement reiterated the Lagos State Government’s commitment to fostering a clean, sustainable, and livable environment for all.
Additionally, the statement urged Lagosians to utilize designated spaces or seek necessary approvals for such activities.
Notably, Sarah Martins is the founder of the Golden Heart Foundation, a non-profit organization.
The Golden Heart Foundation was founded in 2014 by Sarah Martins to support vulnerable children and women in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Sarah Martins has not yet publicly commented on the Lagos State Government’s claim regarding her arrest.
