“Why only me?” – Igbo man cries after LASG reportedly demolishes his shop

An Igbo man has expressed heartbreak after the Lagos State Government (LASG) reportedly demolished his shop, claiming he was unfairly targeted because of his tribe.

Only Shop Demolished on the Street

In a viral video shared on social media, the man, identified only as an Igbo entrepreneur, lamented that his shop was the only one affected on the street.

He tearfully questioned how he would recover the money he had invested over the years.

He said, “My shop was the only one demolished by the LASG because I’m the only Igbo person. Money wey I invest for shop, who I go ask?”

Video Shows Demolition

The video shows the shop being torn down while neighbors and passersby look on.

Social media users have reacted with shock, noting that other shops in the same area were left untouched.

The reason for the demolition has not been officially disclosed by the Lagos State Government.

Man Shares Pain

The man went on to describe the emotional toll of the demolition, saying, “My suffer, my sweat… the whole street na only me own they demolish.”

His frustration has sparked waves of reactions online, with many expressing support and sympathy.
