Abiodun Folashade Tokunbo, the wife of Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka (Baba Ijesha), has shared why she kept her marriage away from the public eye.
Tokunbo, who runs the Lagos-based fashion label Anjy Luminee Couture, said maintaining a private personal life has been important to her emotional balance and overall peace of mind.
She shared this in an Instagram post, reflecting on her journey with her husband and sharing a collage of their moments together over the years.
In the post, she expressed gratitude despite personal challenges, noting that keeping her private life away from public scrutiny has helped her stay grounded.
She wrote, “Aanu ni. Oju ri, but Anu speaks. This right time to fly together. Privacy is peace to me.”
Her comments followed a recent announcement by Baba Ijesha, who revealed that the couple had welcomed a baby boy, introducing the child with a name he shared publicly while also praising his wife in his post.
Tokunbo also stated that the newborn is their first child together after 12 years, though details of their relationship timeline remain unverified.
She is originally from Ijesha Isu in Ekiti State, where she was born into a family of eight children. She studied Banking and Finance at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, before earning a degree in Business Administration from Lagos State University. She later founded her fashion brand in 2013 after completing her studies.
