Watch moment Police storms kidnappers hideout to rescue Adelabu’s sister, sons

A video showing the moment operatives of the Nigeria Police Force stormed the den of kidnappers to rescue Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, alive after they were abducted in Ibadan, Oyo State, has surfaced on social media.

Recall that TheNewsGuru had earlier reported that the victims were rescued during a late-night operation carried out around 7:30 pm on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

In a video shared on X by the media aide to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, Police operatives were seen storming the apartment where the victims were kept.

A police source told Channels TV that the two suspected kidnappers were killed in a shootout with officers.

Police also reportedly recovered two firearms from the gang.

The source said that ongoing intelligence work and tactical pressure forced the kidnappers to confront security officers, which led to the victims being rescued.

The source added that officers were still searching nearby areas for other members of the kidnapping group who escaped.

Some of the suspects who got away are believed to have gunshot wounds.
