TikTok creators Hamzat Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, and Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, known as Jarvis, have taken another step towards marriage after holding their civil court wedding.
The legal ceremony took place on Wednesday, marking the beginning of the formal legal process ahead of their white wedding scheduled for August 1.
Videos and photos from the court wedding quickly went viral on social media, showing the couple completing the legal requirements for their marriage.
The civil wedding comes weeks after the pair held their traditional marriage rites in Benin City, Edo State. During the ceremony in June, Peller formally met Jarvis’ family and fulfilled the traditional marriage requirements, including the payment of the bride price.
The couple announced their white wedding date earlier this month through a cinematic video shared on their social media pages, confirming that they will exchange vows on August 1. The announcement drew congratulatory messages from fans, fellow content creators and celebrities.
Peller and Jarvis have become two of Nigeria’s most recognised digital creators through their TikTok livestreams and comedy content. Jarvis first gained attention for her artificial intelligence inspired videos, while Peller built a large following through comedy skits and live streaming. Together, they have attracted millions of followers across social media.
Their relationship has remained in the public eye since Peller first proposed to Jarvis in December 2024. Although Jarvis initially described the ring as a promise ring, the couple later confirmed they were engaged. Peller proposed again in June 2026 during a private ceremony in Accra, Ghana, before the couple proceeded with their traditional and civil weddings.
The August 1 ceremony is expected to bring together family members, friends, celebrities and fellow content creators as the couple complete the final stage of their wedding celebrations.
