Two years on, the Lagos real estate company pauses to consider the lessons behind its first projects.
Two years is a short time in Nigerian real estate. It is long enough, though, to look back and ask what the company learned. When Vijad Projects began, the questions were serious ones.
Would buyers put their money with a developer still building its name? Could the company deliver on schedule? Was it building in the right market?
Looking back, the first two years answered those questions through three projects.
Victory Court: where the answer began
In 2024, Vijad Projects introduced its first development, Victory Court, along the Epe Ijebu Ode Road. It was designed for both personal use and investment. When the company announced in 2026 that Victory Court had sold out, it was more than a sales result.
It showed that buyers had trusted a young developer and had not been let down. In real estate, trust is as much the product as the property itself, and Victory Court is where the company first understood that.
Beryls Prime: learning to build
If Victory Court showed that Vijad could sell, Beryls Prime showed that it could build. The development of 12 units of 2-bedroom apartments with BQ at Lekki Peninsula II is now in its finishing stages, a year after commencement.
From land acquisition to planning to construction, the team learned what steady delivery takes. In a market where off-plan buyers often wait years for visible progress, that discipline stands out.
The 7th Residence: refining the vision
The 7th Residence is Vijad’s most deliberate project so far. It is a collection of seven 4-bedroom terrace duplexes at Lekki Peninsula II, with direct access to Victoria Island and the wider island axis via the coastal road. It was never designed for volume. It brings together a fully equipped gym, a swimming pool, 24-hour power and security, and premium finishes in every unit.
Learning in public: Sales Experience Podcast
Along the way, Vijad also learned that a company grows by sharing what it knows. The Sales Experience began as a conversation series for realtors and became a podcast and webinar series on the realities of real estate sales in Nigeria. It remains a reminder that the company’s role goes beyond the transaction.
What two years taught us
Looking at the whole journey, one lesson stands out: reputation is built one delivery at a time. An estate, an apartment block and a premium duplex development now stand as proof of that.
Two years in, Vijad Projects is grateful for the road travelled and clear about the lessons it carries forward.
