Varsity, firm partner for tech leadership programme

Moniepoint Incorporation, a leading financial services provider, has announced a milestone partnership with the African Leadership University (ALU) School of Business to launch a specialised executive education programme.

The initiative is designed to future-proof Moniepoint’s internal management pipeline and accelerate long-term economic prosperity across Africa.

The 13-week bespoke leadership journey features two distinct learning pathways: Strategic Management & Leadership and Data-Driven Decision-Making.

Combining in-person immersion, live virtual sessions, and self-directed modules, the curriculum targets gaps in foundational management, communication, and evidence-based decision-making.

It also embeds critical Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into everyday business choices.

Delivery of the programme will be led by distinguished ALU faculty members with extensive emerging-market expertise.

Instructors include Dr. Olugbenga Victor Afolabi (Group CEO of Hazon Holdings and founder of the Eko Innovation Centre) and Dr. Omowale Crenshaw (Co-founder of Grupo Mecca Colombia).

“Execution is everything in this game, and execution is a leadership problem before it’s anything else,” said Tosin Eniolorunda, Group CEO of Moniepoint Inc. “If we want Nigeria’s digital economy to compete globally, we can’t outsource the people who run it; we have to build them, deliberately, here.

“The leaders who come through this programme will decide whether Moniepoint’s infrastructure successfully reaches small business owners across regions like Onitsha or Kano.”

By equipping managers with technical expertise and data fluency, Moniepoint aims to sustain its rapid scale responsibly. The initiative directly mirrors a broader industry philosophy: serving underserved MSMEs and communities effectively requires an equally deliberate, structural investment in internal human capital.
