A young Nigerian student in the United Kingdom has found herself in trouble after breaching the conditions of her visa as she’s asked to return to her country for working more than 20 hours a week.
The lady identified as Onyinye revealed in an emotional video that she had come to the UK in 2022 to get a BSc degree.
During this time, her father, who was her sponsor, passed away, leaving her without any support.
She lamented that things had become so hard and she had to work to be able to pay her fees.
According to her, she had unknowningly overworked the 20-hour a week rule which is part of the conditions in her study visa.
The Home Office contacted her later, revoking her visa and asked her to leave the country for breaking the conditions of her stay in the UK.
She said in part …
“A journey of 3 years…a journey I wanted to celebrate so much. I’ve been in the UK for 3 years. I came in 2022 it’s been hell.. in 2023, my dad passed away, he was my sponsor. I was left in a state of nowhere. Nobody to run to…”

@CollinsZagaa wrote: “BTW before she started crying, she turned on the ring light and camera then after the crying she look at the vid to see if her cry was very emotional she filtered it and post online”
@flourish007 said: “I’m confused by this. She’s being asked to go back to her home country and gets emotional on camera about it. Wasn’t she prepared to return earlier? If you don’t adhere to visa rules, there are consequences. It’s straightforward.”
