Two Nigerian police officers have gone viral after being caught on camera exchanging blows in broad daylight at Jankade Bus Stop, Lagos.

The shocking scene, which quickly circulated across X (formerly Twitter), showed the uniformed men wrestling on the road as stunned bystanders tried to separate them.

Many passersby watched in disbelief as citizens and other police officers intervened to break up the fight between the supposed law enforcers.

‘Na friendly match’: Nigerians react online

Social media users flooded the comment section of the viral clip with humour, disbelief, and criticism.

One user, nzekwe_arinze, wrote: “Na friendly match ” while another, Cee_Teecee, added, “Some go think say na movie, but this is why Lagos is something else.”

Another commenter, OnyiaChisimdi, joked: “For 9ja, police dey fight and citizens dey separate them. What a country!”

Several commenters speculated that the altercation might have been triggered by a disagreement over money.

User alaye_ng claimed: “Dem dey drag how dem go share money wey dem thief.” Others echoed similar sentiments, suggesting the officers were quarrelling over a bribe.

While the Lagos State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement, citizens online are demanding disciplinary action and transparency over the incident.
