The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiative has provided an update on delayed payments to trainees and training centres.
According to the latest update, the delay has affected payments for both trainees and centres, with beneficiaries still waiting for their July stipends. The programme also stated that August stipends have not yet been processed due to outstanding issues.
Training centres whose trainees did not receive their July stipends have been directed to upload necessary documents to facilitate the processing of backlog payments.
The update addressed trainees whose attendance records are showing “not present.” Those whose records indicate that they attended classes are expected to be considered for July payments.
Meanwhile, trainees whose duplicate-finger issues were cleared but have not yet been reinstated for training will be informed when they are expected to resume.
The TVET initiative apologised for the delay in payments to training centres and trainees, adding that once the payments are approved by the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, July and August payments will be made soon accordingly.
